Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 is Missouri Winter Weather Awareness Day. Winter is just around the corner so now is the time to make some preparations so you are ready if affected by a severe winter storm.
The current winter outlook calls for a chance the St. Louis area may be a bit warmer and drier than normal. However that does not mean winter storms will not happen. A severe winter storm can knock out power and bring transportation to a standstill. Will you be prepared if this happens to you?
The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service encourage everyone to be ready for winter weather. Whether you have to travel or you will be staying home, there are things you need to do to be ready.
