Adoptable Pets: Carley the Cat Waits For New Home

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through All Paws Rescue, an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats. All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers. If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area PetSmart stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

This week's featured pet:

Carley is a two-year-old female Torbie cat. She is front declawed. All Paws volunteers say Carley's mom and sisters were found as strays in Lincoln County. According to her foster parents, Carley has come a long way in trusting people. She loves her head and neck massaged and her belly rubbed, though she does not particularly like being picked up. She absolutely adores toys, particularly fuzzy mice. She would probably be better as an only cat, because she is somewhat timid and intimidated by other cats. She would do best in a quiet, all adult household.

All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms.
