Dardenne Prairie Man Shoots, Kills Intruder from St. Charles
A deadly home invasion on Wednesday night wound up with the homeowner shooting and killing an intruder.
A 20-year-old St. Charles man is dead after he allegedly invaded the home of a Dardenne Prairie family Wednesday evening.
St. Charles County Sheriff's Department investigators are calling the break in totally random and the actions of the homeowner justified, according to a KTVI report. The suspect, who was shot and killed by the homeowner, is identified by police as 20-year-old William Carlton of St. Charles, the report said.
