As one of the 8 members of the O'Fallon Historical Preservation Commission I am happy to report that our first meeting was a very positive one. We are blessed with a group of residents who appreciate and understand the importance of history, especially as it pertains to our city. The enthusiasm was like nothing I have seen in a long time and I know that we will all work well together. Thanks to the O'Fallon Patch for your coverage of this first meeting...We will continue to give you details of our efforts. A special thanks to three public officials for making this all happen...Councilman Mike Snowden and Councilman Jim Pepper for pushing hard for this commission to come into existence at all and then to Mayor Bill Hennessy for enthusiastically supporting this commission, and for selecting us to represent the residents of O'Fallon from 1856 to the present day.

A picture tells a thousand words Jordan...and these old shots of our former O'Fallon residents and the lives they lived are very interesting and important to understand and appreciate.
