Congratulations to Keith Riesberg for a classy farewell to the City of O'Fallon. I wish Mr. Riesberg well as I believe he has a bright future wherever he chooses to go to pursue his career. I always enjoyed my conversations with Mr. Riesberg, finding him to be very bright, knowledgeable on city issues and open for new ideas. Now, we should also encourage our elected officials to make a wise decision for our city administrator in the future.

Mr. Riesberg was not a good leader for our City what so ever. We sat idle and were a “Lam-Duck” for the past three (3) years. Mr. Riesberg made $125,000 Salary, $50,000 in Benefits and the free use with unlimited gasoline for the City Vehicle (including travel back and forth to Iowa). Mr. Riesberg was not a strong leader and had zero backbone to make the necessary and critical changes to move our City forward. There was a strong vote of NO confidence from the huge majority of City Employees. Mr. Riesberg was NOT transparent and forth-coming with important information. Mr. Riesberg never spoke to me ever and never reached out and asked for input, thoughts or suggestions. We deserve much better leader and that starts with the election of a new Mayor and City Council Members for Ward One (1), Ward three (3), Ward Four (4) and Ward Five (5). We need openness and transparency, putting people first and foremost over special interest.

Jim Frain, Donna Wadsworth and Eric Verseman go along with many residents of O'Fallon in wishing Keith Riesberg well in his future endeavors and we thank him for making a strong effort with our City of O'Fallon. While there are residents who have found fault with this city administrator and other city administrator's, along with virtually every person in office in the present and from the past, I would like to think that the residents of O'Fallon will see that good efforts are being made in their city to make it an even better place to live. This is a full slate of candidates for Mayor and in all Wards and it is now up to the voting residents of O'Fallon to study the candidates and the issues and make good choices. I am proud to live in O'Fallon..... It is a good place to live. Most residents see it that way too or they would be moving out in droves.
