But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not.
That's where you come in. Since this is your community, we want to make sure you have the opportunity to review the places where you eat.
That's why we are introducing O'Fallon Food Critic column, where each week we will put a different restaurant on the chopping block. You tell us how you feel about it, what dishes are good, who has the best drink specials and so forth.

Good food, good service, fair prices, friendly staff and a locally owned. Support the locals and check it out. We have enjoyed this restaurant for years. It's a place we have date night at or dinner with the whole family.
Try the cannelloni it's our favorite.

Very good place to go for a nice lunch or supper, the food is really good prices are fair. Staff is friendly, it is nice and bright inside and there is no music blaring so loud that you can't talk. My favorite for lunch is a tuna sandwich on regular bread instead of a great big roll. It is always good.

We used to love to go to Madison's, They had very good food at a good price and great service, but the last time we went, it was a little disappointing. I always get the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and Shrimp. I pay extra for the shrimp. On that night instead of getting nice size tasty shrimp, it had those tiny salad shrimp that tasted like water. I do not remember what my husband ordered but I know he was not happy. I hope that was just a off night but we have been hesitant about going back.

Madison's need to remodel and update their menu. They offer some things that are great. But for those of us that are long time O'Fallon residents, Madison's is no longer on our radar. Too many other places to try. Mostly the restaurant is outdated and a bland atmosphere. The staff is very nice and there are the tried and true menu items such as the Broccoli soup on Monday and the Burnt Steak Sandwich and combination salad. Just would like to see some changes.
