An O'Fallon man is facing charges for setting a fire that destroyed his home on Tuesday morning.
O'Fallon Police responded to a call about a house fire in the 600 block of Castlebrook Drive at 9:42 a.m. on Tuesday. No one was inside the home and no injuries were reported.
Police say an investigation revealed 52-year-old Timothy Copeland caused extensive damage by setting his house on fire.
Copeland is charged with second degree arson and his bond is set at $50,000.
O'Fallon Police Officer Diana Damke said no other details about the investigation are being released at this time.
