O'Fallon Man Pleads Guilty to Setting Fire to His Home

The fire in the 600 block of Castlebrook Drive in O'Fallon started Jan. 31.

 

An O’Fallon man pleaded guilty in St. Charles County Circuit Court July 16 to second-degree arson.

Timothy Copeland, 52, admitted setting fire to his O’Fallon home in the 600 block of Castlebrook Drive on Jan. 31.

Sentencing was set for Sept.  17. Judge Jon A. Cunningham will hand down the sentence.

No one was inside the home during the fire and no injuries were reported. The O'Fallon and Cottleville fire protection districts and Central County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire. Firefighters said the home was extensively damaged.
