By 6 a.m. Wednesday, nearly 200 hopefuls were on hand for a chance to be one of Chick-fil-A's first one hundred customers.

Chick-fil-A Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Tiffany Simmons, said that a lottery was held to select the first one hundred people out of the crowd to receive Chick-fil-A for a year.

This event is typical of a Chick-fil-A grand opening. On Wednesday, Jimmy Hussey, A Rockin D.J. entertained the crowd well into the night. Chick-fil-A provided breakfast, lunch and dinner to the first one hundred plus a handful of guests.

Thursday morning, campers were awakend by Chick-fil-A's iconic cow mascot. The lucky first one hundred received T-shirts then were ushered through the store to recieve their coupons for a year's worth of chicken.

Chick-fil-A grand openings have a cult-like following. People travel across the country to attend the grand openings. Simmons said that many of the people are retired and use the coupons they win as gifts. She said that she has met people who have attended dozens of grand openings across the country.
