One of Florissant’s favorite traditions has announced its plans to expand itself westward.

Old Town Donuts announced recently, via its Facebook page, that it would be opening a new shop in Cottleville, MO at 3941 Mid Rivers Mall Dr.

According to the post, the store will be serving the same doughnuts and flavors as in its Florissant location.

“Same award-winning bakers. Same award-winning recipes. New location,” the post stated.

The news has residents both in and out of Florissant clamoring for the new spot.

“Very excited! I moved from Florissant to St. Peters last year. Now I can have my fall Pumpkin donuts again :),” Kristen Bergan Manning wrote.

“I grew up in Florissant, and grew up on Old Town Donuts,” John Flynn wrote. “It's one of my favorite childhood memories. I moved away to St. Peters years ago, and now you guys are opening up right down the road from me.

“I am ECSTATIC right now.”

Calls to management of Old Town Donuts were not returned.

For those worried that the 40-year-old business could be moving away from Florissant, the store reassures everyone that they’re staying put at 510 N. New Florissant Rd.
