Ozella's Pizzeria Now Closed in O'Fallon
The restaurant was located at 468 Highway P, O'Fallon.
A local pizza shop has closed its doors in O'Fallon.
The former Ozella's Pizzeria, located at 468 Highway P in O'Fallon, is now dark and according to the business website, they are closed.
Ozella's opened an O'Fallon location in 2007. According to the website, the restaurant got its start in North County in the late 1950s and was known as "the place for the best pizza in town."
After closing two of the original Ozella's shops in 1981, family members decided to open a new store.
"We decided to open the 3rd Ozella's in 2007 and bring back all of the wonderful recipes used by my Grandpa and Grandma," the website states.
The dinner-only restaurant offered a menu including soups, pasta, pizza, chili and root beer floats, along with frozen pizzas for a take-home treat.
O'Fallon Patch will update with more information as it becomes available.

It's always a tragedy when a business closes and even more difficult when it is a family business....We are sorry to lose Ozella's Pizzeria. I often wonder what our city could do and should di to help a business that is struggling and getting ready to go under. Hopefully our Economic Development Department will continue to work even harder with businesses and support their efforts to stay in business and to grow in success.

Pizza was excellent. My son was in from Reno and that is what he wanted to eat from home that he couldn't get there. I would have liked to see them deliver.

Not every small, family owned business fan afford to advertise, let alone put out coupons. So before you judge small business, first check out how much is costs to advertise. One of the real problems I have found about being a small business owner in O'Fallon is that the residents of O'Fallon don't have a clue how to support a small business. Please support small business! Seek them out and shop there. 99 times out of a 100 they are cheaper in price, have great customer service, and offer superior products to what the national chains have to offer. At small business you become a friend, not just another customer walking through the door.

Right Gail...SHOP LOCAL...SHOP IN THE "O"....EAT LOCAL....EAT IN THE "O"....The service and care and concern from local O'Fallon merchants is unmatched by any of the regional and national locations....
