Parks Department Hosts Meeting to Discuss Westhoff Skate Park

A meeting is scheduled for Thursday night for residents to come share their thoughts and ideas on the proposed project.

The City of O'Fallon Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a meeting Thursday night at 6 p.m. to discuss plans to build a skate park at Westhoff Park

The Parks Department invites O'Fallon residents to join them in the multi-purpose room in City Hall to share their thoughts and ideas about the proposed project.

The skate park will be built  north of the new entrance being constructed off TR Hughes Blvd.  City officials say it will be an approximately 8,000 sq. ft. concrete structure with a combination of street and bowl skate opportunities.

The project is included in the city's five-year CIP as a project for 2012 at an estimated cost of $300,000.

Thursday's meeting  is to brainstorm what elements should be included in the project.
