Police: Man Attacks Brother With Knife, Threatens to Burn House Down
The St. Charles County Sheriff's Department arrested David Ashley Hall, 31, after threatening his brother with a knife during a fight.
A St. Charles County man was charged Dec. 10 after threatening his brother with a knife.
David A. Hall, 31, was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon after the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department said he knowingly exhibited a four-inch pocket knife in a threatening manner.
Police say that David Ashley Hall and his brother Jonathan Hall, both of the 5500 block of Old Gutermuth Road in St. Charles County just east of O'Fallon, got into an argument on Dec. 8. According to the probable cause statement, David then ran after Jonathan with a four-inch pocket knife. Police say David told his brother he was going to stab him. Jonathan was able to close a door to avoid the stabbing.
David then attempted to force his way into the home where in order to get to Jonathan. Jonathan was with his girlfriend and her 10-day old baby.
David eventually entered the house through another door. Police say he threatened to burn the house down and was striking a lighter while saying that.
According to the probable cause statement, David has several felonies on his record and has stabbed Jonathan once before in 2009.
Bond was set at $10,000 case only by defendant only.

So you only get about three years for stabbing people these days? If I ever get in trouble I want that judge!
