O'Fallon and St. Peters Police are looking for three suspects accused of passing counterfeit bills at numerous Walgreens stores in St. Charles County, including one in St. Charles.

St. Peters Police received calls from two Walgreens stores about counterfeit $100 bills being passed on Jan. 4. In both instances, the male suspects purchased approximately $200 worth of items and with the counterfeit money. Later the female suspect would return to the store, return the items, and receive money back.

At this time, St. Peters Police believe the suspects are involved in six incidences at various Walgreens stores in the St. Charles area. St. Charles Police are not involved in the investigation at this time. The Walgreens store in St. Charles only believes the suspects were in their store using counterfeit money, but the store has not received the counterfeit bills back from their bank in order to file a police report.

Suspect No. 1 is described as a 30- to 40-year-old black male with short black hair and a beard. He is believed to be between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot tall. Police describe suspect two as a 40- to 50-year-old black male between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9. Suspect No. 3 is a 30- to 40-year-old white female between 30- and 40-years-old.

The two vehicles seen used are a red Dodge Stratus and an older model blue pickup truck.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the identity and/or the whereabouts of the suspects to call Detective Jeffrey Atkins at 636-278-2244 ext. 3592 or St. Peters Police Department Non-Emergency at 636-278-2222.
