A section of Highway K near Veterans Memorial Parkway cracked due to the excessive heat on Friday afternoon, according to city officials.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has been informed about the damage and are directing traffic near and Walmart on Friday, according to Director of Public Relations Tom Drabelle.
