Two Semi's Crash on Boone Bridge, Block I-64 Westbound

Drivers are advised to look for alternate routes.

The westbound lanes of Highway 40/I-64 near the Boone Bridge are currently blocked due to a traffic accident involving several vehicles.

Chesterfield Police Capt. Steve Lewis said traffic is backed up considerably and advised drivers via Twitter to look for alternate routes. Emergency crews are working to clear the scene, Lewis said, but there are no estimates for when traffic will be able to get through again.

Fox2's John Pertzborn reported via Twitter that the accident involved two tractor-trailers on the Boone Bridge, one of which jacknifed, according to KMOX reporter Brian Kelly. No injuries reported yet.
