The City of O'Fallon honored the heroes of 9/11 on the 10th anniversary of the attacks with their annual Patriot Day Ceremony  at the 9/11 First Responders Memorial behind City Hall.

Residents filled bleachers, clutching American flags and red and white carnations as they listened to guest speaker Dawn Robinson, who survived the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City.

After the ceremony, attendees lined up to place flowers on the 9/11 memorial. Some signed up for the Remembrance Walk, while others headed inside City Hall to donate blood or help sort and box items for U.S. troops overseas.
