Vote Now: Help Name the Top GAC Boys Soccer Player for the 2012 Season

Vote for the fan's choice for the top boys soccer player in the GAC.

The 2012 boys soccer season is in the books for all the Gateway Athletic Conference teams, but it's time to take a look back.

Yes, it's time for another edition of the St. Charles County Athlete of the Week fan poll. Except this week has a twist. Instead of looking at the last week, we're looking at the entire season.

Tell us in the poll below: Who was the top GAC boys soccer player in 2012?

Jordan Stephens—Francis Howell: Francis Howell's Jordan Stephens was the top point getter in all of the GAC. Stephens was led the GAC South, all of the GAC with his 67 points. The majority of his points came from his 26 goals—best in the GAC. He also chipped in 15 assists for the Vikings.

Andrew Deppe—St. Charles High School: When it came to scoring goals this season, Andrew Deppe was tops. The St. Charles High School star found the back of the net 25 times this season for the Pirates—tops in the GAC North. Deppe also added 10 assists to give him 60 points on the year, second in the North.

Stevenson Coleman—St. Charles West: No one in the GAC North had more points than Stevenson Coleman. The St. Charles West's product was a big part of the Warriors high-scoring offense. His 20 assists led the the conference—and were the most among the three Gateway Athletic Conferences. He wasn't just an assist man, however. He potted 23 goals, second-most in the GAC North.

Jack Filla—Fort Zumwalt North: The man in the net for Fort Zumwalt North was hard to score on this season. Jack Filla was the top goalkeeper in the GAC Central with his microscopic 0.70 goals against average. Filla was 15-9 on the year for North with 11 shutouts—10 solo and one shared. His 180 saves were were 73 more than the second-most in the Central. Filla allowed just 17 goals this season and sported a 0.914 save percentage.
