Voters Elect Gober to O'Fallon Fire Board
Gober won 56.76 percent of the vote and will serve a six-year term on the board.
Voters elected a new face to the O'Fallon Fire Board on Tuesday.
Matthew Gober will serve a six-year term as a director on the O’Fallon Fire Protection District Board.
Unofficial Election Results from St. Charles County Election Authority:
- Gober won 1,927 votes (56.76 percent).
- Incumbent Dave Hinman received 1242 votes (36.58 percent).
- AC Dienoff brought in 213 votes (6.27 percent).
- Voters submitted 13 write-in votes or 0.38 percent.
Gober could not be reached immediately for comment on Tuesday night.

In my communication with Mr. Gober I found him to be a very articulate and knowledgeable person with a good work and family background. My concern with his election to the O'Fallon Fire Board is that virtually ALL of the donations for his campaign came from the Firefighters Union. When an election is purchased many times those paying for it expect reimbursement. Let's hope that this is not the case with Matt Gober.
