An O’Fallon woman faces assault charges after being accused of putting a condom in her 5-year-old daughter’s underwear.

Investigators reported that the mother’s intent was to cause the girl’s father to believe his fiancé was being unfaithful.
The mother was charged Feb. 22 with third-degree assault against her daughter. In charges filed against her, St. Charles County prosecutors reported that the woman “intentionally caused offensive contact to her 5-year-old daughter by placing a condom that appeared to be used insider (her daughter’s) underwear.”
“The incident caused her to become distressed and to hide behind the shower curtain in her home,” investigators reported.
Investigators said the girl described the condom as “yucky.”
