O’Fallon Sewer Line Rehabilitation Begins Wednesday Without Excavation

The rehabilitation of a City of O’Fallon sanitary sewer line is scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 6.

The work, which will be performed by SAK Construction, calls for lining 7,300 feet of existing sewer pipe which extends from Civic Park to Dames Park.

No excavating will be involved, and portable pumps will be used to bypass the flow during the installation. The project is designed to eliminate groundwater leaks or infiltration into the sewer line, and it will extend the city’s wastewater plant treatment capacity. The work will be completed in May, weather permitting.

More information about the process will be posted on the Water and Sewer Department webpage, www.ofallon.mo.us/water. For questions, please contact the Water and Sewer Division office at 636-379-7600. The office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
