I must admit, I wasn’t too sure about using a team mascot at a wedding reception. It seemed a little cheesy to me and I don’t do cheese.

HOWEVER, the last few weddings have made me change my mind on the subject. Think about it, there’s the cake cutting, dinner, the toast, first dance and then the party and then everyone goes home. Yawn, the typical wedding.

And then there’s the weddings that use mascots. The party begins and everyone is having a good time dancing and taking pictures at the photo-booth in the corner. Then all of a sudden the DJ announces Fred-bird from the St. Louis Cardinals or Staley Da Bear from the Chicago bears. The music changes to the theme song and out comes Fred-bird and grabs the bride & groom out to the dance floor. What a great photo-op! Then Fred-bird starts engaging with the guests and gets them to start dancing. Guests are now laughing and taking photos. They are completely absorbed with the mascot. Who can deny themselves a fun time with Fred-bird?

What a great way for guests to remember your wedding. I must say, Fred-bird and the other mascots sure know how to party! What do you think?
