Spring Battle: Keep Those Allergies In Check

Battle with seasonal allergies? Some quick tips on how to help you keep your sinuses in check with the change in the seasons

Spring time is just around the corner. For a lot of people that means another battle with seasonal allergies. Even if it’s inevitable that you will be faced with the symptoms of spring time allergies here are some things that you can do to help make this season different than the others.

Spring cleaning: Nothing makes you feel better than on a nice warm day then opening up the windows to let in some fresh air. However before you open the windows take the time to do a little spring cleaning. Dust that may have settled around the house especially the window areas will start to get blown around as you open the windows and with one good gust of spring air the dust is going all around the house.

Honey: Another thing that can be helpful for the chronic allergy suffer is to by some honey from a local source. The local honey is made from the pollen from your area so taking spoonful or two of honey a day can help to build up your body’s immunity to the pollen that will be floating around in another month or so. And not just the honey but you can also by the honeycomb and chew on it like gum to get a similar effect.

Chiropractic: Getting adjusted especially in the area of the neck and upper back can affect the sinus and respiratory systems. Also getting adjusted has been known to help boost the overall function of the immune system helping your body to be better at fighting off irritants that may be causing your symptoms.
