YHEC welcomes all Youth who want to improve their outdoor skills

Youth Hunter Education Challenge Kickoff Meeting

The Youth Hunter Education Challenge ( YHEC ) Program at the August A. Busch Conservation Area is accepting applications from young outdoor enthusiasts for the 2016 season of activities. Participants learn the fundamentals of Shotgun, Rifle, Archery and Muzzleloader shooting. Additionally, they learn Wildlife Identification, map and compass Orienteering and more. YHEC participants get hands-on training in eight outdoor skill areas. There are two age groups; 11 -14 and 15 - 18. There are no fees to join, however, participants are asked to make the commitment to develop their skills in all eight areas of challenge. 

The  Kickoff Meeting will be Sunday, December 6th from 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Administration Building at the August A. Busch Conservation Area
