Adopt a Pet: Bo the Blue Heeler is Looking for a Loving Family

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through All Paws Rescue, an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area PetSmart stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

Bo is a three-year-old Blue Heeler. Most people think that Blue Heelers are independent, and do not require much in the way of cuddling or affection, but All Paws volunteers say Bo loves being the center of attention and would make someone a great friend and loyal companion.

He likes to play fetch, especially when he gets a good treat in return. Bo is house-trained and loves to be in my crate by 7 p.m. for bedtime.

Bo's foster family says: "Bo is a very sweet dog that loves to be around adults. Little children make him nervous. He loves one-on-one attention and to be treated like the baby of the family. He is a typical Heeler that likes to lightly nip at your heels or grabs your arm if he wants something. He just needs someone that will love him and treat him as their child. Bo weighs approximately 50 pounds. He is good with other dogs and fine with cats."
