Adopt a Pet: Meet Alma the Cuddly Cat

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through All Paws Rescue, an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area PetSmart stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

This week's featured pet: Alma

Alma's Foster Parents Say: "Alma is a good-natured, gentle cat. She is friendly with my dogs and other cats, but she is a bit timid - she is a runner, not a fighter when other cats hiss at her. Alma is a good, well-behaved girl who likes to cuddle and lets me trim her nails. Alma has very soft, thick hair, and is a pleasure to pet. She is very lovable. Alma is allergic to fleas, though, and has some bare spots where she has been itchy in the past. Her former family turned her into a kill facility because of her bald spots, but after being treated with flea preventative, most of her hair has grown back and she is doing well now. Since most cats should stay on flea preventative in Missouri, I have not listed this as a special need. Alma is up-to-date on her vaccinations, spayed, tested negative for feleuk/FIV, dewormed, microchipped, and on flea preventative!"
