Adopt a Pet: Meet Bob the Lovable Saint Bernard

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through All Paws Rescue, an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area  stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

Bob is a two-year old Saint Bernard weighing about 115 pounds. All Paws volunteers say Bob is a very loving guy and has a great personality. He know his basic commands including,  sit and stay.

Volunteers say is good with kids, other dogs and loves to play fetch or chew on his toys. He also loves the water – pool or lake, it doesn’t matter. His foster family says if there is water, Bob wants to be in it.

Bob needs to have room to run, and if possible, another dog to keep him company because he does get lonely – which is the reason his previous owner gave him up for adoption.

When Bob was six months old, he was hit by a car and injured his leg. He had a few surgeries and according to All Paws, has about 90 percent mobility of his leg. They say when he runs you would never know his leg had been injured.

All Paws volunteers say if you have the time and love to devote to Bob, he will make the perfect addition to any family.

All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms.
