Adopt a Pet: Meet Lucky the Dog

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through , an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area  stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

Lucky is a one to two-year-old mixed breed dog (possibly Great Dane/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix).

He weighs approximately 60 pounds. According to All Paws volunteers, Lucky was born deaf, but that doesn't bother him at all. He does well with other dogs, and he is friendly and outgoing.

Lucky has participated in a three-month training program and is now registered as an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen. He is house-trained and knows multiple sign language commands. Because of his large size and playful behavior, he would do best in a home without young children.
