Adoptable Pets: Meet Roo the Easy-Going American Pit Bull Terrier

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through , an  based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats. All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers. If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area  stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

This week's featured pet:

Roo is a four-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier.  All Paws volunteers say she is very sweet and loves attention. She is house-trained and does well with other dogs and with cats. Roo loves to carry around something in her mouth, whether it is a stuffed toy or a bone. Volunteers say she is low energy and easy-going.

All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms.
