Morning Star Church Announces Holy Week Services, Including New Seder Service

 

DARDENNE PRAIRIE, MO – Morning Star Church (1600 Feise Road) announces its 2012 Holy Week schedule of services. All services are open to the public, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Nursery and preschool care will be available during all services.

 

Holy Week begins with Palm Passion Sunday services on Saturday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 1 at 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Regular Children’s Ministry available for all ages.

 

On Thursday, April 5, the Church offers a Seder service at 6:30 p.m. Through symbolism and stories, the Seder service relives the history of the Jewish people’s enslavement in Egypt and their subsequent exodus to Israel. Cost is $5 per person, with a maximum cost of $20. Childcare offered with registration.

 

On Good Friday, April 6, Morning Star Church offers three devotional services at 7 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

 

Morning Star Church is offering six identical Easter Services: Saturday, April 7 at 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday, April 8 at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. The worship experience will include live music, drama, and original media presentations. Tickets are not required, however to better plan, Morning Star is asking attendees to create a reservation online.

 

Holy Week is the last week of Lent and is observed by Christians as a time to remember and reenact the suffering (Passion) and death of Jesus Christ through various observances and services of worship. For more information on these services, visit www.mscwired.org/holyweek.

 

Founded in 1999, Morning Star Church seeks to meet people right where they are and help them take their next steps on their spiritual journey.
