Get Out: Food Network, County Fair and Mexican Fiestas

  • Where/ When? Friday, July 29, 6 p.m. at 6128 Delmar Blvd., Saint Louis.
  • Why Go? The Regional Arts Commission and St. Louis Post-Dispatch photographers J.B. Forbes and Robert Cohen present a collection of photographs taken immediately after the tornado in Joplin, Missouri. All proceeds go to the tornado victims. 
  • Pricing: Free. Donations accepted.

  • Where/ When? Friday, July 29, All day at , 2577 W. Meyer Rd., Foristell.
  • Why Go? This fair has something for everyone from bull riding to a rock band. There’s even a petting zoo for the children.
  • Pricing: $15 for adults $5 for kids 

 

  • Where/ When? Sunday, July 31, 7:30 a.m. at the , 520 N. Main Ctr., Saint Charles.
  • Why Go?  Experience the “little hills” on two wheels. This tour is intended for experienced cyclists.
  • Pricing: $8 members; $13 non-members; $3 children.

  • Why Go? Teens have the opportunity to participate in a Mexican Fiesta where they can experience Mexican culture through food, crafts, games and more!
  • Pricing: Free.

 

  • Where/ When? Saturday, July 30,11 a.m. at Childbloom Guitar Center, 7829 Mexico Rd., Saint Peters.
  • Why Go? Childbloom Guitar program will have your child playing guitar by the end of his or her first session. How cool is that?

  • Where/ When? Saturday, July 30, 10 a.m. at the Sheraton-St. Louis City Center, 400 S. 14th St., Saint Louis.
  • Why Go? Do you have what it takes to be a food network star? Find out at this casting call.
  • Pricing: Free. Bring your completed application, two photos of yourself and a resume.

 


  • Where/ When? Saturday, July 30, 7 a.m. at St. Charles High School, N. Kingshighway St. & Bennett Ave., Saint Charles
  • Why Go? St. Charles High is hosting a flea market, so come sell, shop, and have fun!

  • Where/ When? Friday, July 29, 6 p.m. at , 218 N Main St, Saint Charles
  • Why Go? Come enjoy the festivities as their launch two new exhibits, "Then & Now" and "Everything & Anything".

  • Where/ When? 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, July 27-30, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31.
  • Why Go? Grab your flapper hat and enjoy this touching story set in the 1920s.

  • Why Go? Get ready for the 2nd Annual Pound the Pavement 5k/10k with a series of four pre-race clinics for runners of all ages and abilities. Learn about nutrition, stretching, gear and much more.

  • Where/ When? Saturday, July 30, 8 a.m. at , 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Saint Peters.
  • Why Go? The gallery will show artwork from students of all ages who have participated in theContinuing Education Department's 2010-11 classes and summer camps, as well as their instructors.
