Get Out This Weekend for Bowling, Running and Music

Check out O'Fallon Patch's new planner to help you make your weekend plans.

You've probably seen our O'Fallon Patch two planners, designed to help plan family friendly and grown-up weekend plans. Starting today we're combining the two to provide one-stop shopping for finding activities that appeal to kids and adults. Look for this new "Get Out" planner every Thursday at 6 a.m. Each one will feature at least five fun events, destinations and activities in or around O'Fallon. Sometimes we'll add a bonus item that may be a bit further afield, because there are times when  a great event is worth the drive!

Why Go: Bring the kids to Home Depot and let them build a planter box for your spring garden. They will learn how to use tools, put things together and gain a sense of accomplishment in this workshop designed just for kids age five-12.

Why Go: Test your stamina at the True Grit Challenge as you follow the course through trails, obstacles, wooded hills, and muddy creek beds of our beautiful 89 acre Mid Rivers Equine Center.

When/Where: Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Michael's at 2220 Highway K, O'Fallon, MO 63368. Event also held on Tuesday, April 5.

Why Go: Michael's is offering an Easter themed make-it-take-it craft event for kids. Everyone, ages three and up is welcome.
