O'Fallon Announces 2012 Parade Winners
This year's Heritage and Freedom Fest parade theme was "Salute Our American Heritage."
Parade kicked off the city's early Wednesday, July 4.
Clubs, civic organizations, bands, churches, scouts and businesses lined the street to show off their American pride.
Awards were presented for participants in the categories of the “Mayor’s Choice” award and “Best Overall” category and were judged on how well an entry expresses the parade theme: “Salute Our American Heritage.”

Prizes of $500, $400 and $300 were awarded to the top three Best Overall.
In addition, prizes of $200 for first place and $100 for second place were presented to the “Best Musical Float” and “Most Patriotic Float." Ttrophies were awarded for “Best Color Guard.”
