O'Fallon Announces Winners of 5K Run/Walk

Despite the surprise weekend snow, over 200 participants showed up at the Renaud Spirit Center for the event.

A surprise spring snow didn't stop people from lacing up their running shoes and heading to the on Sunday morning.

Over 200  participants registered for the Renaud Spirit Center's 5K Run/Walk  race and 35 participants registered for the Kids’ One-Mile Fun Run, held outside the complex starting at 8 a.m. 

Participants who won in their age division ranged from age 10 to 72 years old.

Overall male open winners:

  • Kyle Ries, age 26, first place with a time of six minutes
  • Tripp Logan, age 33, second place
  • Matthew Swain, age 50; third place

  • Cindy Walters, age 36, first place, with a time of 7.38 minutes
  • Margie Martens, 53, second place
  • Jenna Wescott, 12, third place
