Patch Picks: Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

Whether you're celebrating your Irish heritage or just want to join in the St. Patrick's Day festivities--we've got five things to do on March 17. 

  •  --This Irish pub located on Main Street in O'Fallon will serve corned beef and cabbage and offer drink specials throughout the day. 
  • --Don't feel like leaving the house to celebrate? Local Dierbergs stores have deals on a complete corned beef dinner, including corned beef, steamed cabbage, potatoes and baby carrots for $6.99 (individual). Colorado Premium Point Cut Corned Beef Brisket is on sale for $2.99 per pound.
  • --Head to the Lake St. Louis Community Association at 100 Cognac Ct. for   a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 6-8 p.m. , followed by Retro Boogie playing in the bar. Cost is $10 per person and includes dinner, coffee, tea or soda, tax and gratuity.
  • --Take kids ages six months to 10 years old to Make Believe Theatre and Arts today from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today for free crafts, stories, music and other activities. 
  • Head to the Dogtown Parade--If you can escape from work for a few hours, head to the St. Louis Irish neighborhood of Dogtown at noon for the annual parade featuring music, marchers and Irish dancers.
