Renaud Spirit Center Draws a Crowd for Annual Family Fun Fair

Hundreds of people attended the annual fair on Saturday.

The Family Fun Fair drew a crowd numbering in the hundreds. Residents streamed in and out of the center throughout the day Saturday, sampling all of the things the center has to offer.

Lines were long and children waited up to 30 minutes for the face-painting booth or a quick ride on a pony.

The weather cooperated, so people did not seem to mind waiting in the lines. "This is so cool! I would have never had a chance to climb a rock wall. Totally worth the wait," Jackson, age 8, said after waiting 20 minutes for his chance to scale the wall.

The fair was designed to attract new members and teach the community about the spirit center. Kevin Snoe, a desk clerk at the center, said that by 1 p.m., there were more than 20 new membership registrations.
