Seven Ways to Celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday Near O'Fallon

March 1 is Read Across America Day. Check out the various Dr. Seuss activities happening in O'Fallon and beyond this weekend.

Saturday markes the birthday of the beloved children's author Dr. Seuss. 

According to Seussville.comRandom House and the National Education Association are urging parents to participate in the second annual Read Across America and read to a child.

Here's a few events happening around the St. Louis-area that you can participate in with your kids!

Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast at Texas Roadhouse in St. Charles

March 2 , 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. at Texas Roadhouse in St. Charles. Advanced purchase of tickets is required $3 for kids, $5 for adults. Purchase tickets here.

Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash at Magic House

March 2, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 3, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy story times, screenings of the PBS show "The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!" and take photos with Dr. Seuss props. Bring a new Dr. Seuss book to be donated to a child in need and receive free admission during the event. Learn more here. 

Read Across America at Mid Rivers Mall

March 1, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the play area near Sears. First 25 kids to donate a new book will receive a Dr. Seuss hat. Enjoy story time events with city officials including St. Charles School District Superintendent Jeff Marion. Learn more here.   

Read Across America: A Seussebration

March 2, 2 p.m-3 p.m. Oak Bend Branch. Stories, crafts and games galore. Geared for ages 3 to 8 p.m. Register here.
