Sonny, Scotch Look for Families to Love

All Paws Rescue volunteers need help finding dogs and cats permanent homes.

Pets are available for adoption through All Paws Rescue, an O'Fallon based volunteer group working to save homeless dogs and cats.  All pets are kept in foster homes, where they receive the care they need to help prepare them for a permanent home.

All Paws is supported solely by private donations and fundraisers.  If you're interested in adopting an animal, you can browse their website or attend one of their weekend adoption events at area  stores. Last year they adopted out close to 300 pets.

Dog: Sonny is an eight-year-old Chinese Crested.  All Paws volunteers say was rescued from a puppy mill, so he will need an adopter with a lot of patience to help him learn to be a normal dog.  He is not house-trained and due to poor nutrition and lack of veterinary care during his life, he has lost all of his teeth.  Volunteers say Sonny is quite skittish around new people, but will warm up once he learns he can trust you.  Sonny is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms and is up to date on vaccinations.

Cat: Scotch is a male cat between one and two years old. All Paws volunteers say he is full of personality and loves to play either by himself or with others. Scotch doesn't  have a lot of time for laps, as he is a busy guy and  very interested in the goings on around him,. Volunteers say he is an engaging cat to have around.  Scotch was pulled from a high kill shelter to help teach veterinary assistant students in a local school.  He has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and given flea/tick preventative.
