Volunteer Opportunities: Help SCC With Annual Rhythm and Ribs

Recycle City Open House/Race to Recycling Duathlon & 1-Mile Fun Walk/Run

St. Peters hosts an open house along with a run and other events on April 27. Volunteer to help guide Recycle City Open House tours, assist with the Recycle City booth, or check in race participants, pass out water and direct bikers.

Spring Special Olympics

Help out at the Special Olympics track and field and aquatic activities at Westminister Christian Academy, 800 Maryville Centre Dr., Town and Country on April 27. Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. with events wrapping up at 3:30 p.m. Volunteers are still needed for buddies and to cheer on athletes in the stands. 

O'Fallon RSC 5K Run Walk and Kids Fun Run

Up to 300 competitors, adults and children, will come out to race or just enjoy the exercise as they complete the 5K course or the 1 mile course 

Volunteers assist with registration, directions, water station, and refreshments.
Arrive at 6:30 a.m. on May 4.

Missouri State High School Water Polo Tournament

Volunteer as a ticket taker at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, May 4, 8, 10 & 11. 

Volunteer for Rhythm and Ribs at SCC 

Rhythm & Ribs is a fun-filled evening of live music,mouth-watering food and dancing. The 4th annual event will be held on the St. Charles Community College campus in Cottleville on Friday May 10.  Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the St. Charles West Jazz Ensemble and at 7 p.m., a new Rhythm Revue will feature SCC talent. Smash Band will return, live on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will support scholarships and academic enhancements at SCC. 

Ribs will be served by Ethyl’s Smokehouse, Mannino’s Market, Rib City and Stumpy’s Bar-B-Que. Gourmet nachos, veggie burgers and hot dogs will also be available.

Volunteer at Busch Stadium

Help out with Life Skills annual Walk Run 'n Roll Event at Busch Stadium on Sunday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers needed include: 

• Directional/Runners
• Volunteer Check-In/Out
• Rally Check-In
• Parking
• Resouce Fair
• Cardinals Green Team!

Volunteer for Girl Scouts Young Professional Board 

This group meets once a month at the Girl Scout Council office in Maryland Heights at 6:30 p.m., the dates for the meetings rotate between the 4th Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. The group is currently participating in an afterschool program in one of the St Louis Public schools to offer Girl Scouting activities to the girls that aren't able to join a traditional troop.

Race for the Rivers Festival-Frontier Park

Help is needed at the Race for the Rivers on August 24th, 2013 at Frontier Park in St. Charles. 

Volunteers are needed to sit in a chair at one of the openings to the park and inform people that alcohol is not allowed in or out of the festival area.
