• The Cape Cod Times reported today that O'Fallon's new city administrator, Bonnie Therrien, was a also a candidate for a position as town administrator in Harwich, Massachusetts. The town's Board of Selectmen chose Therrien after a five-month search and was in the process of finalizing her contract when the announcement was made that she had accepted the position in O'Fallon.

• An O’Fallon man grabbed an off-duty police officer’s arm as he drove away on Sunday, forcing the man to run alongside the vehicle, police said. Police said that pointed an assault rifle at the officer’s car, according to a court document. John Jay Kahr, 43, of the 1500 block of Indian Springs Drive in O’Fallon, was charged Monday with assaulting an officer.

• The city of O'Fallon has developed a plan for economic development and is offering the public a chance to hear all about it at an open house next week. The Economic Development Strategic Plan Open House will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at O’Fallon Municipal Centre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23.
