O'Fallon Celebrates Beginning of Holiday Season With Tree Lighting

The City of O'Fallon officially kicks off the holiday season with their 12th annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Wednesday. 

Residents are invited to from 6-8 p.m. to join in the countdown to the annual lighting of the tree in the City Hall Rotunda by Mayor Bill Hennessy, and the arrival of Santa. 

The event also features live music, games and crafters selling holiday gifts.

Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring donations of canned or boxed food or personal care items for O'Fallon's Cornucopia of Care food drive.

If you can't make it to the tree lighting, items can be dropped off until Saturday, Dec. 17 at:

Guests are also invited to decorate the “Giving Tree” in the lobby with winter hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and socks, which will be donated to the .
