Civic Dance Studio, offered by O’Fallon’s Parks and Recreation Department, now offers privates lessons in tap, ballet, acrobatics, jazz dancing, contemporary and other dance styles at their studios at the Civic Annex, 410 East Elm Street.
Beginning classes include tap, ballet and acrobatics for ages three and up, with more advanced classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical and jazz for pre-teens and teenagers.
Classes are offered in eight-week sessions, with the next session starting Sept. 9.
Civic Dance also offers an eleven-month program that concludes with a dance recital, encouraging students to practice and master the skills they need. Students can join the program at any time until January 2014, and still be eligible to appear in the dance recital.
