Autotech Auto Center Gets Head Start on Food Drive

On Saturday, July 28, Autotech Auto Center is volunteering to collect food at the . According to their Facebook page, they are getting a head start this week and are asking people to donate at the shop throughout the week and bring a food item to donate. The Facebook page says: "We will either give you $5 off of any service, or give you a voucher for $5 off of a future visit at Autotech!" Items can be dropped off anytime, through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 p.m.

East-West Gateway Planning Session

O'Fallon, Lake Saint Louis, Wentzville and St. Charles County residents, business owners and community leaders are invited to attend the second of four planning sessions for the East-West Gateway Region's Sustainable Communities initiative. The meeting will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, at the Lake Saint Louis Community Clubhouse, 100 Cognac Court, Lake St. Louis.

The quarterly meetings are part of a region-wide effort to coordinate plans for housing, transportation, and environmental and economic development. For more information, visit the website.

Local Middle School Students Attend HealthCare Camp

According to the Progress West HealthCare Facebook page, Adventures in HealthCare Camp is a week-long program designed for BJC employees' seventh or eight graders. The children explore adventures in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory care and health information technology through hands-on interactive activities.

During the week of July 16, middle schoolers attended Adventures in HealthCare Camp at Progress West and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.

Home Depot Helps Out at Camp

According to the(CLI) Facebook page, came out on July 19 to teach the campers carpentry and building skills, by making a truck out of wood.

Sign Up for O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Golf Tournament

This annual fundraiser is set for Thursday, August 23 at Whitmoor Country Club, 1100 Whitmoor, St. Charles. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch following at 11 a.m. . The tournament begins at noon and will be followed by an awards dinner. The four person scramble includes 18-holes of golf with a cart, lunch, one mulligan per player, drinks on the course and dinner. For more information or to register, visit the chamber website.

Get involved in the Inaugural O’Fallon Chamber Casino Night

The O'Fallon Chamber Board of Directors just approved this new event scheduled for February 2013. The chamber is looking for committee members to help pull off this first time event in a way that will make sure it is a success for years to come. The committee will hold its first meeting on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 8 a.m., regular committee meeting dates and times will be discussed at that time.
