Citigroup to Cut 5 Percent of Missouri Workforce

According to the "St. Louis Post-Dispatch," the bank announced Wednesday it plans to cut 11,000 jobs.

Citgroup announced plans to cut costs and eliminate jobs in Missouri on Wednesday. 

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the bank says it will cut around 11,000 jobs, including about 5 percent in Missouri from the operations and technology units. 

Citigroup employs 6,000 people in Missouri and has a CitiMortgage base located in O'Fallon at 1000 Technology Dr. The local office is a processing loan and paperwork location.

The article states, the bank has not shared what locations will be affected by the cuts.
