Friday Food Critic: Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar

Each week, we nominate a new restaurant for you to review. That's right, you're the local expert.

When it comes to restaurants, O'Fallon has plenty.

O'Fallon has some local places that many would consider community gems, some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area and O'Fallon certainly have plenty of chains lining our main streets.

But what the city doesn't have have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not.

That's where you come in.

We could throw some money at a professional food critic, but that's not exactly what Patch is all about. We'd much rather know the opinion of the fine folks that eat there day-in and day-out.

It's your community. You eat the food. You tell us if it passes the mark.

That's why we are introducing The Friday Food Critic column, where each week we will put a different restaurant on the chopping block. You tell us how you feel about it, what dishes are good, who has the best drink specials and so forth.

This week's restaurant is Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar, a local venue offering not only a full menu, but a variety of wine tasting and cooking classes and live music on the weekends.

To review Rendezvous Cafe & Wine Bar, simply click on their name. You'll be directed toward their community listing in our places directory, where you can rate them on a five-star system or write a personal review.

At O'Fallon Patch, we believe your words of wisdom are better than any food critic.

The best part? You could be selected for a $10 gift card to a restaurant of your choice. Each week, we'll randomly select three reviewers from across the St. Louis area.

What are you waiting for? Let the reviewing begin!

My husband and I love the food, a little high though, especially the appetizers. We like the live music, but can't expect to have a conversation while they are playing; sometimes we just avoid the music nights :) The atmosphere on the patio is really nice!
