St. Charles County Munch Madness ran along the same lines as the much-hyped college basketball tournament, except it used St. Charles County restaurants instead of college basketball squads.

Sixty-four restaurants entered the field when the bracket debuted March 13. Readers picked which restaurants would advance.

In the Final Four, St. Charles' Padavan's NY defeated Lil' Mickey's Memphis Barbecue from St. Peters; and B. Hall's, of O'Fallon, defeated 54th Street Bar and Grill from Wentzville.

Padavan's breezed its way to the championship round, defeating St. Charles landmark restaurants such as Mother-in-Law House, Trailhead and Winery of the Little Hills.

Meanwhile, O'Fallon Patch reader Matt White filled out the winning bracket, correctly guessing 40 of the tournament's matchups correctly. White was the only entrant to correctly guess the championship matchup.

Congratulations to Padavan's and B. Hall's for making it to the finals, and Matt White for filling out the winning bracket! And a huge thanks to all of the Patch readers that participated in the event!
