O'Fallon Thomasville Furniture Store to Close

St. Louis-based Furniture Brands filed for bankruptcy last week.

The St. Louis Business Journal reported last week that the company that owns O'Fallon's Thomasville Furniture store plans to close the O'Fallon store and 13 others in the next two months.

Furniture Brands International filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, the Journal said. The company has already closed five Thomasville stores in other states. 

The company, which is based in St. Louis, reported that it was $550 million in debt in its bankruptcy filing.
