We went to on Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Kirkwood, and bar manager Edgar Dominguez showed us how to make one muy bueno. According to the Ecuadorian native, this is as authentic a margarita that one can find in St. Louis. And since it was voted the number one margarita in 2009, he should probably be taken at his word.
Recipe for "Traditional Mexican Margarita:"
- 1 part Puro de Sauza Hornitos Silver Tequila
- 1 part Cointreau
- 1 part fresh lime juice (a secret in-house mixture at Amigos)
- A splash of Organic Agave Necture
