Extreme Gun Care: One Year and Counting in O’Fallon

Extreme Gun Care, located at 975 West Terra Lane, O’Fallon, Missouri, started up in March of 2010. The company started from cleaning firearms of family and friends, then business began to grow. Owners Mike and Jason Lumetta opened up a small store in Labadie, Missouri. As business continued to boom they outgrew the Labadie location and the pair decided 13 months ago to O’Fallon was to be the home of Extreme Gun Care (EGC). O’Fallon has a great local market that complemented the internet sales; however, the father son business is not just a gun cleaning business. The Lumetta’s done everything from gun cleaning and minor gunsmith work to reloading and firearm sales. Mike, the father, is the reloading expert. He retired from another industry but does not take time off, Mike is doing everything but enjoying time off. He and another reloading gourew, a local O’Fallon resident, teach reloading classes. The class size is limited to the first eight people so each participant is able to receive the hands on learning Mike and his assistant offer. If a person has reloading questions, feel free to come in and keep the retired man busy doing what he loves. As the old saying goes, “never work with your family because it only leads to problems,” but Mike has a different view on working with his son, Jason. Both men have different points of view, so they actually complement each other.
