A Community Market - Ricks Roadside Market

Ricks Roadside Market, a wonderful farmers and farmers market in Cottleville.

I recently discovered a new farmers market located in Cottleville that you should really get out to visit. Ricks Roadside Market is not only a farmers and artist market but a community hub.

This new market, located at 5382 Gutermuth Road in Cottleville, (just a half mile from St. Josephs Church) is located inside of a nice, clean big barn. The owners of Ricks are very community minded and are busy planning festivals, talent shows, and art classes, as well as weekly activities for kids.

The weekend that I visited Ricks, they had some serious talent on the schedule. Three talented musicians took the stage throughout the day and wow'ed visitors with their abilities. It was nice to enjoy the music of local musicians as I shopped for my fresh vegetables and fruits for the week. On top of the fresh produce, there were freshly baked items, coffee, oils, spices, art, crafts, and other items being offered by local community members and artisans. I think that's one of the things I love about this market, I know I'm shopping local small business when I shop here.
